I heard about Operation Open Arms on the radio a few weeks ago. Capt. John was being interviewed by Trey Radel on his talk show. My wife and I have a timeshare on FMY Beach and were not able to use it this year. What a perfect opportunity to donate it to such a worthy cause.
Thanks for the work you are doing and for all the folks that contribute to make this work possible.
The following letter was received from Lee County Commissioner John Manning in response to the news coverage of the Fairy Tale Wedding Captain Bunch, Pink Shell Resort and others provided on Fort Myers Beach. – Brenda/admin
I had just finished reading this wonderful story in The Pine Island Eagle about Caitlin and Sgt. Gabriel Lopez’s wedding. What the Operation Open Arms organization and you do for these families is truly commendable. I have followed the great things that your organization has done for our young military couples over the past few years and applaud you and those who volunteer their services with your organization. Keep up the wonderful job!
Also, thank you for your kind words about Bob Janes. He left big shoes for me to fill and I will always appreciate his kindness towards me and his friendship.
